Lupii Munților in the Classroom: English Songs and Healthy Smiles!

The first lesson was with Simina, at the “English Through Music – Let’s Sing, Move & Play!” workshop, where music became our common language. We started with a sung “Hello, hello, how are you?”, and the children cheerfully answered “I’m happy!” or “I’m great!”. Then we turned into rhythm detectives, guessed animals by their sounds, from “Moo!” to “Roar!”, and moved to the music until the “Freeze!” command. At the end, the class became a real orchestra, and every child said one English word they remembered.

Next came the lesson on dental health, with Dr. Irina Azhari, a specialist in dento-alveolar surgery. The children learned how to protect their teeth and what to do when a dental problem comes up. They understood that a visit to the dentist is nothing to be afraid of, but a natural part of taking care of our health.

The children were curious, asked questions and took an active part in both lessons. We thank teacher Cătălina Stănescu and Școala Tunari for the invitation and for this wonderful collaboration!

It was a day in which we learned that both a foreign language and caring for our health are best discovered through play, music and smiles.
