In the heart of the mountains

We set out early and climbed to where the trail opens toward the cliffs. For many of the children it was their first real hike: a backpack on their shoulders, cool mountain air, and a peak watching over us. We rested on the grass, listened to the silence, and learned to walk at the group’s pace — no one gets left behind. By the end, tiredness had turned into pride.
